Divisor form
For inch-based rules, multiply rounded inches and divide cubic inches by the published divisor. Metric rules commonly divide cubic centimetres by a cm³/kg factor.
Factor form
A cubic-metre density factor multiplies m³ by kg/m³. It is mathematically related to a divisor but should be implemented in its published form.
